Active ingredient and dosage form

Xyzal - coated tablets:
1 tab. contains levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5 mg, excipients: MCC; lactose monohydrate; colloidal silicon dioxide; Magnesium stearate
sheath: hypromellose (E464); titanium dioxide (E171); macrogol-400;
pack of 10 or 20 pcs.;
Ksizal - drops for oral administration: 1 ml contains levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5 mg, excipients: sodium acetate, acetic acid, propylene glycol, glycerol 85%, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, sodium saccharinate, purified water; in a bottle of 10 ml or 20 ml.

pharmachologic effect

Ksizal has antihistamine, antiallergic action.

Indications

For adults and children over 6 years old:
year-round and seasonal allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis (elimination of symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, lacrimation, conjunctival hyperemia);
hay fever (pollinosis);
urticaria, incl. chronic idiopathic;
angioedema;
allergic dermatosis, accompanied by itching and rashes.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any of the components of Xyzal or piperazine derivatives;
severe chronic renal failure (Cl creatinine <10 ml / min);
children's age up to 6 years.
Carefully:
chronic renal failure (correction of the dosage regimen required);
advanced age (reduction of glomerular filtration is possible).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Not recommended for women during pregnancy and lactation.

Side effects

Headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, fatigue; rarely - migraine, dizziness, dyspepsia, allergic reactions (angioedema, rash, urticaria, itching).

Dosage and administration

Ksizal is taken orally, not chewed, with food or on an empty stomach, washed down with a small amount of water. Adults and children over 6 years old - in a daily dose of 5 mg. in chronic diseases (year-round rhinitis, atopic dermatitis), the duration of treatment may increase to 18 months.

Storage conditions and shelf life

In a dry place, at a temperature not higher than 15 ° C. Shelf life - 3 years.
