Composition

100 g of gel for external use contains:

  • active ingredient: Troxerutin 2.0 g
  • excipients: carbomer, trolamine, edetate disodium, benzalkonium chloride, water.

Packaging

Aluminum tube with an internal lacquer coating, lithographed outer surface, membrane and sealing ring, with a plastic screw cap. Each tube along with instructions for use in a carton box.

Mechanism of action

Angioprotective agent. Troxerutin has venotonic, angioprotective, anti-edema, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Troxerutin is involved in redox processes, blocks hyaluranidase, stabilizes cell membrane hyaluronic acid and reduces capillary permeability and fragility, increases their tone. Increases the density of the vascular wall, reduces the exudation of the liquid part and dianedez blood cells. Reduces inflammation in the vascular wall, limiting the adhesion of platelets to its surface.

When applying the gel to the skin, the active substance quickly penetrates through the epidermis, after 30 minutes it is found in the dermis, and after 2-5 hours in the subcutaneous fatty tissue.

Indications and usage

  • pain and swelling associated with chronic venous insufficiency;
  • feeling of heaviness and pain in the legs, swelling of the ankles;
  • fatigue, swelling, cramps, paresthesias;
  • acute superficial thrombophlebitis and periphlebitis;
  • varicose dermatitis;
  • traumatic pain and swelling (including damage to the ligaments, sprains or muscle bruises).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to troxerutin or any excipient of the drug. Violation of the integrity of the skin.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

No data on undesirable effects on the fetus and newborns. The drug can be used in the second and third trimester of pregnancy, as well as during breastfeeding.

Dosage and administration

The gel is applied externally. The gel is applied in the morning and in the evening on the affected area with the help of light massaging movements from the bottom up to its full absorption into the skin. If for any reason the use of the drug is missed, the patient can apply it at any time, keeping the interval between two treatments for at least 10-12 hours. If necessary, the gel can be applied under bandages or elastic stockings.

Adverse reactions

In rare cases, there is redness, itching, rash.These symptoms quickly disappear after stopping treatment.
