Mechanism of action

A plant-based venotonizing agent, reduces capillary permeability, has a venotonic, anti-edema, anti-inflammatory and angioprotective effect. It prevents the activation of lysosomal enzymes that break down proteoglycan, increases the tone of the venous wall, eliminates venous stasis; reduces capillary permeability and fragility. It reduces exudation, reduces the effusion of fluid in the tissue and accelerates the resorption of existing edema. It inhibits inflammation, improves microcirculation, promotes the repair of organs and tissues.

Indications and usage

Injuries (bruises, sprain or rupture of ligaments, hematoma), tendovaginitis. Post-traumatic and postoperative hematomas, soft tissue swelling, incl. swelling of the brain. Prevention and relief of edema during surgery on organs and tissues (including plastic surgery, proctology (hemorrhoids), urology). Symptomatic treatment of diseases of the veins of the lower extremities: varicose veins, venous insufficiency (pain and feeling of heaviness in the legs, night cramps of the calf muscles, skin itching, swelling of the legs); hemorrhoids.

In / in, adults - 5-10 mg / day, children under the age of 3 years - 100 mg / kg / day, from 3 to 10 years - 200 mg / kg / day. Inside, after eating, drinking down with a large amount of liquid - 40 mg 3 times a day with switching to a maintenance dose - 20 mg 2-3 times a day. Outwardly, cream, gel is applied once or several times a day to the corresponding area of ​​the skin, evenly distributing. At will it is possible to carry out rubbing.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions: fever, urticaria, skin rash, pruritus, angioedema, rarely - anaphylactic shock; dyspepsia (including nausea).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, CRF, pregnancy (I term), lactation period. With caution - a tendency to thrombosis.

May be prescribed to pregnant women, especially for lower edema in the third trimester of pregnancy (in the absence of nephropathy). If symptoms of gastrointestinal irritation occur, it should be taken with food.With the introduction of the drug to patients with a tendency to thrombosis or women taking hormonal contraceptives, the dose of the solvent should be doubled. The cream should not be applied to exposed skin, mucous membranes and skin exposed to radiation. With the sudden appearance of severe symptoms of venous insufficiency (especially on one leg): swelling, discoloration of the skin, sensation of tension and heat, pain, thrombosis of the veins of the lower extremities should be excluded. During treatment, renal function should be monitored periodically.
