Indications and usage

Gedelix is ​​prescribed as an expectorant for infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract and bronchi with sputum difficult to separate.

Inside, after eating, without diluting and drinking plenty of water (up to 1 cup).

Gedelix drops appoint 3 times a day; adults and children over 10 years old - 30 drops each, children 4–10 years old - 20 drops each, children from 2 to 4 years old - 16 drops each.

Gedelix syrup: School-age children are prescribed 5 ml 3-4 times per day. Infants and children under 7 years old should be given half the dose of adults (with sugar, honey, or fruit juice).
With acute symptoms, a single dose can be increased, or increase the frequency of administration. The minimum duration of treatment is 1 week. It is recommended to continue treatment for another 2-3 days after the disappearance of the symptoms of the disease.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug components, incl. to mint oil;
bronchial asthma; predisposition to laryngospasm; arginine deficiency synthetase deficiency;
children's age up to 2 years (due to the possibility of laryngospasm).

Allergic reactions, nausea, in rare cases - pain in the epigastric region.

Special notes

In the event that the patient’s condition does not improve, or in the event of asthma attacks, purulent sputum, or when the temperature rises, consult a doctor immediately.

Patients with diabetes should take into account that 5 ml of syrup contains 1.75 g of sorbitol, which corresponds to 0.15 XE.

Due to the content in the preparation of plant extractive substances, sometimes turbidity and a change in the taste of the solution may occur.
