Mechanism of action

Pheniramine (histamine H1 receptor blocker) has antihistamine properties, reduces rhinorrhea and lacrimation, and eliminates spastic phenomena.
Paracetamol has an analgesic and antipyretic effect.
Ascorbic acid compensates for the relative (and absolute) lack of vitamin C in the body.

Colds, flu states, allergic rhinitis, rhinopharyngitis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity (including to the individual components of the drug), severe liver dysfunction, angle-closure glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy; children's age (up to 15 years) - refers to the dosage form intended for adults, children's age up to 6 years old - refers to the infant dosage form.

Dosage and administration

Enhances the effect of CNS depressants. Simultaneous use with corticosteroids increases the risk of developing glaucoma in genetically predisposed patients.

Overdosage

Paracetamol in large doses causes hepatic cytolysis; The maximum allowable dose for adults is 10 g, for children 150 mg / kg body weight. Clinical and biochemical signs of liver damage occur after 12–24 hours. Symptoms for overdose are nausea, vomiting, anorexia, abdominal pain, increased sweating. Treatment - gastric lavage, the introduction of an antidote (N-acetylcysteine ​​in / in or inside), immediate hospitalization.

Caution should be exercised in the appointment of patients with impaired renal function, during periods of pregnancy and lactation, while taking other drugs.
