Pharmacodynamics

AMBENE® Bio - chondroprotector, the active component of which is a bioactive extract from small marine fish. The extract contains mucopolysaccharides (chondroitin sulfate), amino acids, peptides, ions of sodium, potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, iron, copper and zinc.

AMBENE® Bio prevents the destruction of the macromolecular structures of normal tissues, stimulates recovery processes in the interstitial tissue and articular cartilage tissue, which explains its analgesic effect. Anti-inflammatory effect and tissue regeneration are based on the inhibition of hyaluronidase activity and normalization of hyaluronic acid biosynthesis. Both of these effects are synergistic and determine the activation of regenerative processes in tissues (in particular, the restoration of the structure of cartilage).

Indications of the drug AMBENE® Bio

primary and secondary osteoarthritis of various localization (coxarthrosis, gonarthrosis, arthrosis of small joints);

osteochondrosis and spondylosis.

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to the drug;

pregnancy;

lactation period;

childhood and adolescence (scientific clinical data in this category of patients are not available).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

AMBENE® Bio is contraindicated in pregnancy. If necessary, the use of the drug during lactation breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Side effects

The frequency of the side reactions given below was determined according to the following gradation: very often (> 1/10); often (> 1/100, ≤1 / 10); infrequently (> 1/1000, ≤ 1/100); rarely (> 1/10000, ≤1 / 1000); very rarely (≤1 / 10,000).

Allergic reactions: rarely itching; very rarely - Anaphylactic reactions.

Local: rarely, reddening of the skin and burning sensation at the injection site.

Other: short-term myalgia. In some cases, with intra-articular injections, a transient increase in pain is possible.

Dosage and administration

V / m (deep), intra-articular. With polyosteoarthrosis and osteochondrosis - 1 ml per day. The course of treatment is 20 injections (1 injection per day for 20 days).

With the predominant lesion of large joints, the drug is administered intra-articularly with 1-2 ml in each joint with an interval of 3-4 days. Total for the course - 5-6 injections in each joint.

Perhaps a combination of intra-articular and / m methods of administration.

The course of treatment should be repeated 6 months after consulting a doctor.

Overdose

In case of overdose in susceptible patients, allergic reactions (sometimes severe) may occur.

In case of individual intolerance to seafood (sea fish), the risk of allergic reactions increases.
