POLYGYNAX VIRGO EMULSION CAPSULES

Mechanism of action

:
Antibacterial, antifungal local.
It has a bactericidal effect on gram-positive microorganisms (Staphylococcus aureus, Corynebacterium, etc.) and fungicidal - on pathogenic fungi, especially the yeast genus Candida albicans, as well as Aspergillus, Cryptococcus, Coccidioides and Histoplasma.
Highly active against
Gram-negative microorganisms (E.coli, Enterobacter aerogenes, Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Ureaplasma urealyticum). Streptococci and anaerobic microorganisms (Gardnerella vaginalis), most strains of Proteus, Clostridia, Chlamydia, Trichomonas, Mycoplasma hominis are resistant to the drug.
Dimethylpolysiloxane gel has an enveloping and antipruritic effect, improves trophic processes in the vaginal mucosa, promotes the penetration of active ingredients into the vaginal folds.

Pharmacokinetics:
When injected into the vagina is distributed on the walls and envelops them. Does not penetrate the mucous membranes.

Indications :
Nonspecific, fungal or mixed vulvovaginitis in girls and virgins.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug or chemically related compounds.

Side effects:
Allergic reactions of general or local nature, incl. contact eczema at the site of use of the drug or near it (with prolonged use),systemic effects of neomycin and polymyxin B are possible.

Mode of application and doses:
Intravaginally, for the night (after preliminary toilet of the external genital organs).
The pointed end of the capsule is incised, it is pressed and the medicinal suspension is injected into the vagina, 1 caps each. within 6 days.

Precautionary measures:
The risk of developing an oto-and nephrotoxic effect is limited by the short duration of the course, topical administration and a low daily dose.
Cross-hypersensitivity reactions to aminoglycosides are possible.
Caution should be applied against the background of renal failure.
Please note that one of the fillers is potassium sorbate.

Special instructions:
Treatment is suspended during menstruation.
During therapy should not use hygienic tampons.
To avoid transmission of the disease to others, you must use separate toiletries.
In case of missing a dose, the next one is not doubled
