Active ingredient and dosage form

Batrafen cream for external use:
100 g of cream contain cyclopyroxolamine 1 g;
in tubes of 15 or 20 g, in a box of 1 tube.

Batrafen nail polish:
1 g of varnish contains 80 mg of ciclopiroxolamine;
in vials of 3 g, in a box 1 bottle.

Batrafen solution for external use:
100 ml of solution contain cyclopyroxolamine 1 g;
in vials of 20 ml, in a box 1 bottle.

Mechanism of action

Batrafen is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug. Batrafen damages the cell wall of the fungus and blocks the transport of potassium ions, phosphates, amino acids.

Indications and usage

Onychomycoses, mycoses of the skin, fungal vaginitis; prevention of fungal diseases.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy, lactation, children under 10 years.

Dosage and administration

On the skin. When mycosis Batrafen applied to the affected skin 2 times a day, usually for 2 weeks. After the symptoms disappear, the treatment is continued for another 1-2 weeks after the disappearance of all clinical symptoms.

Lac Batrafen: apply a thin layer on the affected nail 1 time in a day. Before the first application, remove as much of the affected nail as possible and cut it with an attached file to create an uneven surface. Once a week, the entire lacquer layer is removed using a common solvent, while striving to remove as much of the affected material as possible.
During the second month, a two-time application per week is sufficient, and starting from the third month - a one-time application.

Duration of application depends on the degree of damage, but does not exceed 6 months.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions in the form of redness and flaking of the skin surrounding the sore nail; itching or burning in places of application (rarely).

At damage of a varnish coat it is necessary to grease the damaged sites again. During treatment it is not recommended to use cosmetic nail polishes.
After opening the bottle, Batrafen nail polish can be stored at room temperature and protected from light for 6 months.
