Dosing regimen
In / drip injected 0.5% solution of the drug, which is diluted with 5% dextrose solution or 0.9% isotonic sodium chloride solution to a concentration of 0.1-0.2%. The daily dose of the drug is administered once or in 3-4 doses (fractional administration). The drug is administered at a rate of 60-80 drops / min for 30 minutes.
The recommended dose of the drug, depending on the localization process.
At treatment of purulent urinary tract infections the daily dose is 200-400 mg dioxidine, i.e. 40-80 ml of 0.5% solution;
At chronic purulent processes in the lungs - daily dose of 500-600 mg dioxidine, i.e. 100-120 ml of 0.5% solution.
At purulent meningitis daily dose - 600-700 mg dioxidine, i.e. 120-140 ml of 0.5% solution.
At severe septic conditions A 0.5% solution of the drug is injected intravenously, which is diluted in a 5% dextrose solution or a 0.9% solution of isotonic sodium chloride to a concentration of 0.1-0.2%. Daily dose of 600-900 mg (in 3-4 doses).
With the on / in the introduction of possible headache, chills, fever, dyspeptic disorders, convulsive muscle contractions,allergic reactions, photosensitizing effect (the appearance of pigmented spots on the body when exposed to sunlight).
