Mechanism of action

Salicylic-zinc paste is a combined preparation for external use.

Salicylic acid has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and keratolytic effects. Zinc oxide has a drying effect.

Indications and usage

Treatment of skin diseases:
- Pyoderma.
- Pustular skin diseases.
- Skin ulcers with a predominance of weeping processes.

Contraindications

- Hypersensitivity.
- Pregnancy.
- Impaired renal excretory function.
- Reduced blood clotting.
- Hemorrhagic diathesis.
- Anemia.
- Peptic ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcer.
- Children's age (up to 12 years).
- It is not recommended to apply the paste on very wet skin areas, as well as in case of its excessive dryness.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Contraindicated.

Dosage and administration

Outwardly. Paste is applied to the affected skin 1-2 times a day.

Overdosage

Symptoms: when applying the paste to significant areas of the skin for a long time are possible: tinnitus, dizziness, hearing loss, sweating. In severe cases, convulsions, hemorrhagic diathesis, respiratory depression, impaired liver and kidney function.
Treatment: symptomatic.

Storage conditions

Store in a dry, cool, dark place.
