STUGERON 25MG PILLS

Indications

- treatment of symptoms of cerebrovascular origin (dizziness, tinnitus, vascular headache, irritability);

- vestibular disorders (including Meniere's disease, dizziness, tinnitus, nystagmus, nausea and vomiting of labyrinth origin);

- prevention of kinetozov ("road sickness" - sea and air sickness);

- migraine (prevention of seizures);

- impaired peripheral circulation (intermittent claudication, Raynaud’s disease, diabetic angiopathy, thrombophlebitis, trophic disorders, including trophic and varicose ulcers).

Dosage and administration

Inside, after eating.

At circulatory disorders of the brain - 25-50 mg (1-2 tab.) 3 times / day; at peripheral circulatory disorders - 50-75 mg (2-3 tab.) 3 times / day; at vestibular disorders - 25 mg (1 tab.) 3 times / day; at kinetosis (road sickness): for adults - 25 mg 30 minutes before the road (if necessary, re-taking 25 mg after 6 h), for children - 1/2 dose recommended for adults.

In case of hypersensitivity to the drug, treatment begins with 1/2 the dose, increasing it gradually. The course of treatment from several weeks to several months.

Adverse effects

From the side of the central nervous system: drowsiness, fatigue, headache, extrapyramidal disorders (tremor of the extremities and increased muscle tone, hypokinesia in elderly patients with prolonged treatment, in such cases, treatment should be stopped), depression.

Gastrointestinal: dry mouth, pain in the epigastric region, dyspepsia, cholestatic jaundice.

Dermatologic: sweating, development of lupus-like syndrome, lichen planus (extremely rare), skin rash.

Other: allergic reactions, weight gain.

Contraindications

- pregnancy and breastfeeding period;

- hypersensitivity to the drug.

With care: with Parkinson's disease.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug is contraindicated for use during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Application for violations of the liver

With prolonged use, it is recommended to conduct a control examination of the liver.

Application for violations of kidney function

With prolonged use, it is recommended to conduct a check-up of kidney function.

Use in children

At kinetosis ("road" disease) children are recommended 1/2 dose recommended for adults.

Use in elderly patients

With prolonged use in patients with advanced age, extrapyramidal disorders are possible (tremor of the extremities and increased muscle tone), in such cases, treatment should be discontinued.

Special notes

At the beginning of treatment, you should refrain from potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and psychomotor reactions, as well as alcohol intake.

Due to the presence of the antihistamine effect, Stugeron can affect the result of the athletes' anti-doping control (false positive), and can also neutralize the positive reactions during skin diagnostic tests (4 days prior to the study, the treatment should be canceled).

With prolonged use, it is recommended to conduct a control examination of the function of the liver, kidneys, and pictures of peripheral blood.

Patients suffering from Parkinson's disease, Stugeron should be prescribed only in cases where the intended benefit outweighs the potential risk of deterioration.

Overdosage

The maximum recommended dose should not exceed 225 mg (9 tab.) Per day. There is no specific antidote. In case of overdose, symptomatic therapy is carried out: gastric lavage, taking activated charcoal.

Drug interaction

Strengthens the effect of alcohol and sedatives.

With simultaneous use with nootropic, antihypertensive and vasodilating agents enhances their effect, and with simultaneous use with drugs prescribed for arterial hypotension, it reduces their effect.
