Pharmacology

Antiarrhythmic drug IC class. Allapinin blocks the “fast” sodium channels of cardiomyocyte membranes. Allapinin causes a slowdown of the atrioventricular ( AV) and intraventricular conduction, shortens the effective and functional atrial refractory periods, AV node bundle of His and Purkinje fibers. It has a moderate coronary dilating, local anesthetic and sedative effects.

Allapinin does not affect heart rate (HR) and blood pressure (BP). Does not inhibit the automatism of the sinus node. The drug Allapinin does not have a negative inotropic and m-cholinolytic action.

Indications and usage

Supraventricular and ventricular premature beats, paroxysms of atrial fibrillation and flutter, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, including Wolf-Parkinson-White syndrome, paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia.

Contraindications

Organic lesions of the heart. Sinoatrial blockade, A V blockade II and III degree (without artificial pacemaker), cardiogenic shock, blockade of the right bundle of His, combined with the blockade of one of the branches of the left leg, severe hepatic and renal failure, severe hypotension (systolic blood pressure less than 90 mm Hg).

In pregnancy, the drug Allapinin is prescribed only for health reasons.

At AV blockade I degree, violations of intraventricular conduction, sick sinus syndrome, severe circulatory failure, Allapinin is prescribed under particularly careful medical supervision, starting treatment in a hospital, often performing ECG monitoring.

Dosage and administration

Allapinin prescribed to adults inside after eating, squeezed with a small amount of water at room temperature, do not grind. Take 1 pill (25 mg) 3 times a day (every 8 hours). In the absence of effect, the dose of the drug Allapinin is increased, taking 1 pill every 6 hours. Perhaps a further increase in a single dose: up to 2 pills (50 mg) per reception every 6-8 hours.

The maximum daily dose is 300 mg (12 tablets). The course of treatment depends on the patient's condition, the nature of the rhythm disturbance and is determined by the doctor.
