Mechanism of action

Normodipine has an antianginal, hypotensive effect.

Indications and usage

arterial hypertension - as monotherapy or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs: thiazide diuretics, β-adrenoblockers or ACE inhibitors, exertional angina, vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal angina) - as monotherapy or in combination with other antianginal drugs, including case of refractoriness to nitrates and / or β-blockers.

Dosage and administration

Normodipin is taken orally, 1 time per day. For hypertension and angina, the usual initial dose is 5 mg 1 time per day. The maximum daily dose is 10 mg 1 time per day. Usually, to evaluate the clinical effect, it takes 7-14 days of treatment. In hypertension, the maintenance dose is 5-10 mg / day. In angina pectoris and vasospastic angina, 5-10 mg / day. In case of renal failure, the dose is not required, because. The concentration of amlodipine in the blood plasma does not depend on the degree of reduction of renal function.

Adverse reactions

Cardiovascular: palpitations, shortness of breath, marked reduction in blood pressure, fainting, vasculitis, edema (swelling of the ankles and feet), flushing of the face; rarely, cardiac arrhythmias (bradycardia, ventricular tachycardia, atrial flutter), chest pain, orthostatic hypotension; very rarely - the development or aggravation of heart failure, extrasystoles, migraine.

On the part of the digestive system: nausea, epigastric pain; very rarely - increased levels of hepatic transaminases, jaundice, dyspepsia, gingival hyperplasia.

From the side of the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system: headache, dizziness, fatigue, drowsiness, mood changes, blurred vision, diplopia; rarely - loss of consciousness, hyperesthesia, nervousness, paresthesia, tremor, vertigo, asthenia, indisposition, insomnia, depression, unusual dreams; in isolated cases - ataxia, apathy, agitation, amnesia.

From the urinary system: rarely - pollakiuria, dysuria, nocturia; in isolated cases - polyuria.

On the part of the reproductive system: rarely - a violation of sexual function (including reduced potency), gynecomastia.

Allergic reactions: rarely - erythema multiforme, angioedema;

Dermatological reactions: very rarely - dry skin, alopecia, purpura, dermatitis, discoloration of the skin.

On the part of the musculoskeletal system: rarely - arthralgia, arthrosis, myalgia (with prolonged use); very rarely - myasthenia.

Other: hypoglycemia.

Contraindications

- severe arterial hypotension;

- collapse;

- cardiogenic shock;

- clinically pronounced aortic stenosis;

- unstable angina (with the exception of Prinzmetal stenocardia);

- pregnancy (due to the lack of clinical experience on the application);

- lactation period (safety of use has not been established);

- age up to 18 years (due to the lack of relevant clinical experience);

- Hypersensitivity to amlodipine and other dihydropyridine derivatives.
