Mechanism of action

Syncumar - indirect anticoagulant, vitamin K antagonist, interferes with the synthesis of prothrombin (blood coagulation factor II), proconvertin (blood clotting factor VII), factors IX and X. Maximum action - 24-48 hours after oral administration. After cancellation, the content of prothrombin is restored by 2-4 days.

Indications and usage

Thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, thromboembolic complications of myocardial infarction, embolic stroke, thromboembolism of various organs (prevention and treatment). In surgical practice - to prevent thromboembolic complications in the postoperative period.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, hemorrhagic diathesis; hypocoagulation; renal failure; liver failure; arterial hypertension; malignant neoplasms; diabetic retinopathy; physical exhaustion, hypoprothrombinemia (less than 70%); hypovitaminosis K and C, erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, pericarditis; pregnancy, lactation.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

Dosage and administration

Inside On the first day - once 8-16 mg; on the second day - 4-12 mg; on the third day - 6 mg; take at the same time. Maintenance dose (after reducing the prothrombin index to 50%) - 1-6 mg.

Adverse reactions

Nausea, diarrhea, alopecia, headache, bleeding, hemorrhages on the skin and mucous membranes (according to the degree of probability reduction): hematuria, bleeding from the gums, petechiae, post-traumatic hematoma, melera, metrorrhagia, hemarthrosis, hemorrhagic stroke; skin necrosis, allergic reactions: fever, skin rashes; withdrawal syndrome - an increase in the risk of blood clots.

Drug Interactions

Acenocoumarol enhances the effect of oral hypoglycemic drugs, the toxic effect of phenytoin and the ulcerogenic effect of GCS. Barbiturates reduce salicylates increase the effectiveness of acenocoumarol.
