Mechanism of action

Dibicor has a metabolic, cardiotropic, hypoglycemic effect.

Indications and usage

• cardiovascular insufficiency of various etiologies;
• cardiac glycoside intoxication;
• type 1 diabetes;
• type 2 diabetes, incl. with moderate hypercholesterolemia.

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to the drug;
age up to 18 years (efficacy and safety have not been established).

Dosage and administration

Dibicor is taken orally, 20 minutes before meals. In case of heart failure - 250-500 mg 2 times a day, the course of treatment is 30 days. The dose can be increased to 2-3 g / day or reduced to 125 mg per reception. In case of diabetes mellitus type 2, 500 mg 2 times a day as monotherapy or in combination with tableted hypoglycemic agents. In case of type 1 diabetes, 500 mg 2 times a day in combination with insulin therapy for 3-6 months.

Special notes

While taking Dibicor, the dose of cardiac glycosides should be reduced by a factor of 2, depending on the sensitivity of patients to cardiac glycosides. The same rule applies to blockers of “slow” Calcium channels.
