Active ingredient and dosage form

Cardilopin tablets:

1 tab. contains Amlodipine 5 and 10 mg (in the form of amlodipine besylate 6.95 or 13.89 mg, respectively); excipients: MCC; sodium starch glycolate; Magnesium stearate; colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide;

in the blister 10 pcs.; in a carton pack of 1, 2 or 3 blisters.

Mechanism of action

Cardilopin has a hypotensive, antianginal effect.

Indications and usage

Arterial hypertension (as monotherapy or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs);

stable angina pectoris or vasospastic angina pectoris (Prinzmetal stenocardia - as monotherapy or in combination with other antianginal drugs).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to dihydropyridines and / or to any other components of Cardilopin;

unstable angina;

acute myocardial infarction and the period within one month after it;

clinically significant aortic stenosis.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Given the lack of clinical experience with Cardilopin during pregnancy and lactation, the prescription of the drug for pregnant women, as well as women planning pregnancy and not using effective contraceptives, requires careful evaluation of the benefit / risk.

If a nursing mother takes Cardilopin, then breastfeeding should be stopped.

Adverse reactions

Frequent side effects (> 1%), dose-dependent (in%): peripheral edema (the incidence rate for a dose of 5 mg is 3.0% and for 10 mg is 10.8%); dizziness (incidence rate for a dose of 5 mg and 10 mg - 3.4%); hot flashes (for 5 mg - 1.4% and for 10 mg - 2.6%); heartbeat (for 5 mg - 1.4% and for 10 mg - 4.5%).

Frequent side effects (> 1%), independent of the dose (in%): headache (7.3%); abdominal pain (1.6%); increased fatigue (4.5%); sleepiness (1.4%); nausea (2.9%).

Other rare side effects include skin rash, gingival hyperplasia, dyspepsia, asthenia, arthralgia, myalgia, muscle spasms, sexual dysfunction (in both men and women), dyspnea, pruritus, pollakiuria.

Very rare side effects: abnormal liver function, jaundice, erythema multiforme, gynecomastia.

Other side effects: as with the use of other BPCs in patients with severe occlusive coronary disease, progression of symptoms of angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia — which, however, cannot be differentiated from the underlying disease), can occur.

Dosage and administration

Cardilopin accept inside. For the treatment of arterial hypertension or angina, the usual initial dose is 5 mg once a day. Given the response of the patient, the initial dose may be increased to 10 mg once a day. The dose of Cardilopin does not change in the case of its simultaneous use with diuretics from the thiazide group, beta-blockers or ACE inhibitors.

Elderly patients, as well as in violation of the function of the kidneys, the drug is prescribed in usual doses.

The dose of Cardilopin should be reduced (up to 2.5 mg per day) in patients with impaired liver function, since T1 / 2 drug in such patients increases.
