Mechanism of action

It has a sedative effect, has a moderate reflex vasodilator effect, caused by irritation of sensitive nerve endings. Stimulates the production and release of enkephalins, endorphins and a number of other peptides, histamine, kinins (due to irritation of mucosal receptors), which are actively involved in the regulation of vascular permeability, the formation of pain. With sublingual administration, the therapeutic effect on average occurs after 5 minutes, with up to 70% of the drug being released within 3 minutes.

Indications and usage

Cardialgia, angina pectoris, "motion sickness" syndrome (nausea, vomiting in case of sea and air sickness), hysteria, neurosis, headache in the presence of nitrates.

Drops. Sublingually, 3-6 drops of the solution on sugar at the reception, keep in the mouth until completely dissolved. The daily dose usually includes 3-4 doses (up to 9-24 drops / day). If necessary, the dose may be increased. Pills. Sublingually, 1 pill 2-3 times a day. Capsules 1 capsule 2-4 times a day. Frequency and duration of admission is determined depending on the effectiveness of treatment. In the absence or insufficient severity of the therapeutic effect in the next 5-10 minutes after ingestion, it is necessary to prescribe another therapy.

Nausea, tearing, dizziness.

Hypersensitivity.

Special notes

It should be prescribed with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus (for drugs containing sugar).
