Mechanism of action
Nitroglycerin is an organic nitrogen-containing compound with a predominant venodilating action.
Indications and usage
Angina pectoris
Contraindications
Glaucoma, cranial hypertension, impaired cerebral circulation, marked cerebral atherosclerosis.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Extraction of Nitroglycerin in breast milk has not been established.
The use of Nitrokora during pregnancy and during breastfeeding requires careful comparison of risk and benefit and must be carried out under strict medical supervision.
Nitrocor increases the excretion of catecholamines and vanillimindal acid with urine.
The use of alcoholic beverages during the use of the drug is strictly prohibited.
Impact on motor vehicle driving and work requiring increased attention
At the beginning of treatment, it is necessary to refrain from driving vehicles and practicing potentially hazardous activities that require high concentration of attention and quickness of psychomotor reactions. In the future, the degree of limitation is determined individually for each patient.
Composition
1 tab. contains nitroglycerin 0.5 mg.
Dosage and administration
Sublingual: pills - 0.15–0.5 mg per dose, if necessary, again after 5 minutes. In the case of the development of acute left ventricular insufficiency, it is possible to use 4 or more doses over a short period.
Adverse reactions
Tinnitus, headache, dizziness, hypotension, tachycardia.
Drug interactions
The hypotensive effect of the drug may be excessive when the uncontrolled concomitant use of other antihypertensive drugs, antidepressants, ethanol, diuretics, beta-blockers, MAO inhibitors.In this case, the therapeutic efficacy of the drug may decrease.
Caution should be used with procainamide Nitrocor, as may enhance the hypotensive effect and the development of collapse.
With simultaneous use of Nitrocor with Heparin, a decrease in the anticoagulant action of the latter is possible.
Overdosage
Symptoms: cyanosis of the lips, nails or palms, severe dizziness or fainting, feeling of strong pressure in the head, shortness of breath, severe tiredness or weakness, weak and rapid heartbeat, fever, cramps.
Treatment: when symptoms of overdose appear, the patient should be immediately laid down, his legs raised; conduct symptomatic and supportive therapy.
Storage conditions
In the dark place at a temperature of no higher than 20 ° C.
