Indications and usage

- arterial hypertension (as monotherapy or as part of combination therapy with thiazide diuretics, ACE inhibitors, alpha and beta-blockers);
- stable and unstable stenocardia (including Prinzmetal's stenocardia).

Dosage and administration

With hypertension and angina pectoris prescribe the drug at a dose of 5 mg / day. If necessary, you can increase the daily dose to 10 mg. Patients with dilated cardiomyopathy Treatment begins with a dose of 2.5 mg / day, with good tolerance, a gradual increase in the daily dose to 10 mg is possible. The maximum daily dose is 10 mg. When Kalchek is used as part of combination therapy with thiazide diuretics, beta-blockers or ACE inhibitors, no correction is required for the drug dosing regimen.

Adverse reactions

Cardiovascular: palpitations, shortness of breath, hot flashes.
From the side of the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system: dizziness, headache, drowsiness, tired feeling; rarely - a change in mood, asthenia, muscle cramps, myalgia, blurred vision, paresthesia.
Gastrointestinal: dyspepsia, nausea, abdominal pain; rarely - increased activity of hepatic transaminases, cholestatic jaundice.
Dermatologic: skin rash, itching; rarely erythema multiforme.
Other: rarely - gynecomastia, impotence, increased urination, swelling, gingival hyperplasia.

Contraindications

- arterial hypotension;
- Hypersensitivity to Amlodipine and other dihydropyridine derivatives.

Special notes

With caution should be prescribed the drug to patients with impaired liver function, with stenosis of the aortic mouth, with chronic heart failure. Perhaps the simultaneous use of Kalchek with nitrates, NSAIDs, antibiotics, hypoglycemic drugs for oral administration.
Use in pediatrics

The combined use of cimetidine and Calchek does not affect the pharmacokinetic parameters of amlodipine.
