Description
Soft elastic homogeneous opaque ointment of a pale yellow color with a faint smell of lanolin.
Pharmacotherapeutic group
Tissue regeneration stimulator.
Pharmacological properties
Dexpanthenol in skin cells quickly turns into pantothenic acid, which is an integral part of coenzyme A and plays an important role both in the formation and in the healing of damaged skin; stimulates skin regeneration, normalizes cellular metabolism.
Pharmacokinetics
When applied externally, it is quickly absorbed by the skin (absorbs quickly) and turns into pantothenic acid, binds to plasma proteins (mainly beta-globulin and albumin). Pantothenic acid is not metabolized in the body and is excreted unchanged.
Indications for use

Activation of the skin healing process for minor injuries, minor burns, abrasions, skin irritations, chronic ulcers, bedsores, cracks and skin grafts.
