Active ingredient and dosage form

Hofitol coated tablets:brown lentil form in the shell. The color of the pills on the break is brown.
1 pill (0.350 g) contains dry water extract of fresh leaves of field artichoke (Cynara Scolymus) - 0.20 g;
fillers and excipients q.s. on 1 tablet

Hofitol oral solution: in 100 ml of solution:
thick water extract of fresh leaves of field artichoke (Cynara Scolymus) - 20 g
Excipients: alcohol solution of sweet orange juice, glycerin, ethanol 95 ° (4.8%), methyl parahydroxybeisoate (E 218), impregnated hydroxybenzoate (E 216), distilled water
One teaspoon of solution contains 0.13 g of ethanol

Hofitol injection:
on 1 ampoule (5 ml): The purified extract of artichoke leaves (Cynara Scolymus) - 0.1 g;

Pharmacology

Hofitol - choleretic agent. The pharmacological effect of the drug is due to a complex of biologically active field substances that make up the artichoke leaves. Tsinarin in combination with phenolic acids has choleretic and hepatoprotective effects.Ascorbic acid, carotene, Vitamins B1 and B2, inulin, contained in artichoke, contribute to the normalization of metabolic processes.

Indications and usage

The drug is used in the treatment of biliary dyskinesia of the hypokinetic type, chronic non-calculous cholecystitis, chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, chronic nephritis, chronic renal failure.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug, gallstone disease,
obstruction of the biliary tract, acute diseases of the liver, kidneys, bile and urinary tract.

Dosage and administration

Pills.
Inside adults, 2-3 pills 3 times daily before meals.
Children over 6 years old are recommended to take 1-2 pills (depending on age) 3 times a day before meals.
The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.
Repeated courses of treatment are possible in consultation with the doctor.

Oral solution. 
Adults - 1 / 2-1 ch.lozhku solution 3 times a day, before meals, for 10-20 days.
Children, depending on age - on 1 / 4-1 / 2 adult dose of oral solution, 3 times a day, before meals.

Inside the contents of 1-2 vials 1-2 times a day for 8-15 days.
Intravenously drip the contents of 1-2 vials in 200 ml of saline solution 1 time per day for 8-15 days.

Adverse reactions
