Active ingredient
Ravel CP - coated tablets, prolonged action:
1 tab. contains Indapamide 1.5 mg; 20, 30 and 60 pieces per pack.
Mechanism of action
Ravel CP has a diuretic, antihypertensive effect.
Indications and usage
Arterial hypertension.
Contraindications
hypersensitivity to any component of Ravel CP and other sulfonamide derivatives;
severe renal failure (anuria stage),
hepatic encephalopathy or severe liver failure;
hypokalemia;
simultaneous use of drugs that extend the QT interval;
age up to 18 years (efficacy and safety have not been established).
With caution:
diabetes;
renal and / or liver dysfunction;
violations of water and electrolyte balance;
hyperparathyroidism;
patients with an extended QT interval on an ECG or receiving combined therapy;
hyperuricemia (especially accompanied by gout or urate nephrolithiasis).
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Indapamide is not recommended during pregnancy. The use of Ravel CP can cause placental ischemia with the risk of slowing the development of the fetus. It is not recommended to use the drug during breastfeeding (indapamide penetrates into breast milk).
Adverse reactions
Cardiovascular: orthostatic hypotension, ECG changes (hypokalemia), arrhythmia, palpitations.
From the side of the central nervous system: headache, dizziness, nervousness, asthenia.
On the part of the digestive system: constipation or diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, abdominal pain, may develop hepatic encephalopathy, rarely - pancreatitis.
From the genitourinary system: frequent infections, nocturia, polyuria.
Allergic reactions: pruritus, maculopapular rash, urticaria, hemorrhagic vasculitis.
On the part of the respiratory system: cough, pharyngitis, sinusitis.
Laboratory indicators: hypercalcemia, hyperuricemia, hypochloremia, hyponatremia, hyperglycemia.
Very rarely - thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, agranulocytosis, bone marrow aplasia and hemolytic anemia.
Other: possible exacerbation of systemic lupus erythematosus.
Dosage and administration
Ravel CP is taken orally, 1.5 mg (1 tab.) 1 time per day, preferably in the morning, with a sufficient amount of liquid.
Special notes
In patients with impaired liver function, thiazide diuretics can cause hepatic encephalopathy. When it occurs, diuretic should be stopped immediately.
Storage conditions
