Composition

Moisturizing solution ophthalmic Gilan Komfort (hereinafter - the Solution)

It is a colorless, slightly viscous, odorless liquid.

One tube-dropper of the Gilan Comfort solution contains: sodium hyaluronate 0.18% (1.62 - 1.98 mg / ml), sorbitol (18.00 - 22.00 mg / ml), disodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate (7.48 - 9.14 mg / ml), sodium dihydrophosphate dihydrate (2.83 - 3.45 mg / ml), water for injection (up to 0.4 ml).

Medical use

The solution is intended for use in ophthalmology for eye care by instillation into the conjunctival sac.

Moisturizing solution ophthalmic Gilan Comfort reproduces the effect of a natural tear, protects and moisturizes the surface of the eye and lubricates it. This tool has a long-lasting relief effect for dry eyes, due to various factors:

- violations of the tear film, which leads to a decrease in the secretion of tears and causes discomfort symptoms;

- exposure to the external environment (central heating, air-conditioning, fluorescent lamps, various natural phenomena - wind, cold, dust, smoke, smog);

- frequent long work at the computer monitor;

- the use of vasoconstrictor or anti-inflammatory ophthalmic drugs;

- changes in hormonal levels (menopause);

- old age (75% of the population over 65 suffer from dry eye syndrome).

Pharmacology

The medical device Gilan Comfort is a sterile 0.18% aqueous solution of sodium hyaluronate, containing no preservatives. Active ingredient - highly purified sodium hyaluronate, produced by bacterial fermentation. Sodium hyaluronate is a physiological polysaccharide compound found both in the tissues of the eye and other tissues and fluids of the human body.

A special physicochemical property of sodium hyaluronate molecules is their pronounced ability to bind water molecules. An aqueous solution of sodium hyaluronate (GILAN) has the necessary viscosity and high adhesive properties.

When using Gilan Comfort ophthalmic solution, a thin uniform film is formed on the epithelium of the cornea, which protects the eyes from drying out, irritation and the development of inflammation of the anterior surface of the eyeball. The protective film begins almost immediately, thereby protecting the eyes for a long time from dryness, cramps, foreign body sensations, irritations that often occur when working at a computer, with prolonged use of air conditioners or other office equipment, in cases of environmental degradation.

When systematically wearing contact lenses, it is recommended to use Gilan Comfort ophthalmic solution, which contributes to long-lasting hydration of the eye, since its action is identical to natural tear fluid. The solution has a viscosity index in the range of 3.5 - 6.0 MPa / s.

Ophthalmic solution Gilan Comfort does not contain preservatives, therefore there is no undesirable toxic effect on the eye tissue. Possible long-term use of this drug.

Indications

- to moisturize the front surface of the eye (cornea and conjunctiva) with dry eye syndrome of moderate severity;

- with Sjogren's syndrome;

- to eliminate the feeling of dry eyes, "sand" in the eyes, burning, tearing, redness, itching, fatigue, "office" syndrome, as well as the sensation of a foreign body in the eye, feelings of "fatigue" after various previous diseases of the eye, especially after conjunctivitis and keratitis of various etiologies;

- In the complex treatment of chronic blepharitis, causing the syndrome of "dry" eyes;

- to eliminate the "dryness" of the eye in cases of systematic and prolonged use of drugs (hormonal agents, anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics, etc.);

- for complex treatment of "dryness" of the eye in cases of constant use of cosmetics, as well as after plastic surgery on the face;

- to moisten the anterior surface of the eye after ophthalmologic surgeries, including after refractive interventions (LASIK, PRK, etc.), as well as for minor corneal injuries as part of complex therapy;

- to eliminate discomfort and when wearing hard and soft contact lenses, as well as for the prevention of dry eye syndrome during contact vision correction;

- for the prevention and complex treatment of corneal-conjunctival xerosis with environmental degradation and environmental pollution (smog, smoke, dust, etc.), and long-term visual loads.

Dosage and administration

Ophthalmic moisturizing solution Gilan Comfort instilled 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac, as needed up to 6 times per day.

The contents of 1 tube-dropper (0.4 ml) is designed for one use.

Unused Solution should be disposed of immediately after use.

Solution Instillation Technique

Separate one tube and dropper from the others and open it by turning the cap.

To drip the solution into the conjunctival sac, lightly pressing on the tube-dropper, blink several times so that the solution is evenly distributed over the surface of the eye.

Throw away the used drip tube.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any of the components that make up Guilan Comfort ophthalmic solution.

Precautions

Inspect the packaging and solution before use. Do not use the Solution if the packaging or tube is damaged.

Adverse effects

Rarely allergic reactions.

Sometimes there is a feeling of gluing of the eyelids due to the viscosity of the solution.

Drug interactions

In the case of combined use with ophthalmic preparations, it is recommended to observe a pause of at least 30 minutes between instillation of the Gilan Comfort solution and the use of eye drops.

Eye ointments should always be applied after instillation of Guilan Comfort solution.

The solution can be used during pregnancy and lactation.

The solution does not apply to products that can affect the psychomotor state of a person, does not affect the ability to drive and work with mechanisms.

Sterile polyethylene tube droppers (unidose) with a solution volume of 0.4 ml.

Storage conditions

Store in a dark place at a temperature of + 5 ° C to + 25 ° C.
