Mechanism of action

Okumetil has an antiseptic, antiallergic and anti-inflammatory effect.

Diphenhydramine hydrochloride is a blocker of H1-histamine receptors. Reduces capillary permeability and prevents tissue swelling.

Naphazoline hydrochloride - sympathomimetic. It has a fast, pronounced and prolonged vasoconstrictor effect. Reduces swelling and hyperemia of the mucous membranes.

Zinc sulfate has astringent, drying, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect.

Indications and usage

- chronic nonspecific, allergic conjunctivitis and blepharoconjunctivitis;

- Angular conjunctivitis;

- Symptoms of eye tissue irritation (redness, itching, foreign body sensation).

Contraindications

- hypersensitivity;

- angle-closure glaucoma;

- dry eye syndrome;

- pregnancy;

With caution: prostatic hyperplasia, stenosing gastric and duodenal ulcer, bladder neck stenosis, bronchial asthma, epilepsy, arterial hypertension, marked atherosclerosis, hyperthyroidism.

Dosage and administration

Locally, 1 drop in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 2-3 times a day.

Special notes

During the period of treatment, care must be taken when driving vehicles and engaging in potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and psychomotor speed (decrease of visual acuity is possible within 10-15 minutes after instillation). If within 72 hours after the use of the drug no reduction of symptoms is observed, the use of the drug should be discontinued. To avoid contamination of the solution, keep the vial tightly closed and avoid contacting the tip of the vial with any surface
