Active ingredient and dosage form

Dosed nasal spray:
100 ml contain acetylcysteine ​​1 g, tuaminoheptana sulfate 0.5 g;

Mechanism of action

Rinofluimucil has a mucolytic, vasoconstrictor, anti-edema, anti-inflammatory effect.

Acetylcysteine, which is a part of the preparation, has a diluting effect on mucous and purulent-mucous secretions by breaking the disulfide bonds of mucus glycoproteins. Acetylcysteine ​​also has an anti-inflammatory effect (inhibition of leukocyte chemotaxis) and has antioxidant properties.

Tuaminohptana sulfate when applied topically has a vasoconstrictor effect, eliminates swelling and hyperemia of the mucous membrane.

Indications and usage

Acute and subacute rhinitis with thick purulent-mucous secretion, chronic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, sinusitis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to one of the components of the drug, angle-closure glaucoma, thyrotoxicosis. It should not be used during treatment and for 2 weeks after the end of treatment with antidepressants (MAO inhibitors).

Carefully: when prescribing the drug to children (up to 3 years), patients with bronchial asthma, hypertension, angina pectoris HI-IV functional class, frequent extrasystole (treatment should be under the supervision of a physician).

Use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation only possible if the intended benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or baby.

Use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible only when absolutely necessary and under the supervision of a physician.

Dosage and administration

Intranasal. Rinofluimucil is injected into the nasal cavity in the form of an aerosol using a special dispenser. Adults - 2 doses (2 presses on the valve) in each nostril 3-4 times a day. Children - 1 dose (1 click on the valve) in each nostril 3-4 times a day. The course of treatment should not exceed 7 days.

Do not exceed the recommended dose and course of treatment without consulting a doctor.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions, agitation, palpitations, tachycardia, tremor, arterial hypertension, urinary retention, dryness of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, mouth and throat, inflammation of the sebaceous glands.

Long-term medication containing vasoconstrictor substances can change the normal function of the nasal mucosa and paranasal sinuses, and also cause addiction to the drug.
