Composition

1 ml contains xylometazoline hydrochloride 1 mg;
Excipients: sodium hydrophosphate dihydrate, sodium dihydrophosphate dihydrate, disodium edetate, sodium chloride, purified water.

Mechanism of action

Xylometazoline belongs to the group of local vasoconstrictor agents (decongestants) with alpha adrenomimetic action, causes constriction of the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa, thus eliminating the swelling and hyperemia of the nasal mucosa. Relieves nasal breathing in rhinitis. Xymelin Eco contains no preservatives. In therapeutic concentrations does not irritate the mucous, does not cause hyperemia. The action comes in a few minutes and lasts for 10-12 hours.

It is forbidden to take the drug Xymelin Eco during pregnancy.During lactationthe drug should be used only after a thorough assessment of the ratio of benefits and risks for mother and child, it is not allowed to exceed the recommended dosage.

Dosage and administration

For adults and children over 10 years old: 1 injection in each nasal passage (can be repeated if necessary). Do not use more than 3 times a day.The drug is used no more than 10 days.

Adverse reactions

With frequent and / or long-term use - irritation and / or dryness of the nasopharyngeal mucosa, burning, tingling, sneezing, hypersecretion. Rarely - swelling of the nasal mucosa, palpitations, tachycardia, arrhythmia, increased blood pressure, headache, vomiting, insomnia, blurred vision; depression (with prolonged use of high doses).

Special notes

Xymelin Eco should not be used for a long time, for example, in chronic rhinitis.

Drug Interactions

Incompatible with monoamine oxidase inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants.

Overdosage

Symptoms:increased side effects.
Treatment:symptomatic.
