Xylometazoline has an alpha adrenomimetic effect. Causes constriction of the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa, thus eliminating the swelling and hyperemia of the nasopharyngeal mucosa. Relieves nasal breathing in rhinitis.

The drug has a balanced pH, characteristic of the nasal cavity. The composition of the drug includes inactive components - sorbitol and hypromellose, which are moisturizers, which allows to reduce the symptoms of irritation and dryness of the nasal mucosa, resulting from prolonged use of xylometazoline.

Menthol and eucalyptus contained in the preparation have a cooling effect on the nasal mucosa.

In therapeutic concentrations does not irritate the mucous, does not cause hyperemia. The effect occurs a few minutes after application and lasts for 12 hours.
