Composition and release form

For carrying - solution for intranasal use in the form of a spray:

1 ml of solution contains 1 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride; in vials of 10 ml with a spray head, in the box 1 bottle. Dlyanos - drops for the nose for children:

1 ml of drops for a nose for children - 0.5 mg; in dropper bottles of 10 ml.

pharmachologic effect

Anti-congestive. For tear, it stimulates alpha-adrenoreceptors, narrows blood vessels and reduces swelling of the nasal mucosa and upper respiratory tract. When applied topically, Vnos does not irritate the mucous membrane and does not cause hyperemia.

Indications

Acute rhinitis, incl. with colds and viral diseases of the upper respiratory tract; sinusitis, eustachitis, otitis media; diagnostic procedures (for narrowing the vessels of the nasal mucosa).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, atrophic, and fever age (up to 12 years - for spray and up to 2 years - for drops).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Perhaps if the expected effect of therapy outweighs the potential risk to the mother and fetus.

Side effects

Burning sensation, dry nasal mucosa, sneezing; in rare cases - tachycardia, increased blood pressure; very rarely - anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, headache, nausea.

Dosage and administration

Intranasal. Spray for carrying: for adults and children over 12 years old - 1 injection in each nasal passage, up to 4 times a day. Drops for carrying: for children from 2 to 12 years old - 1-2 drops in each nasal passage 1-2 times (maximum 3). Duration of use - no more than 3-5 days.

special instructions

Prolonged use should be avoided. For carrying and overdosing (loosening, damage, inhibition of activity or atrophy of the mucous membrane, reactive hyperemia are possible). Long haul can reduce the ability to drive vehicles or equipment requiring high concentration of attention.

Terms and conditions of storage

The drug should be stored out of reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.Shelf life - 3 years.
