Active ingredient

Mechanism of action

Bronchobos - mucolytic (expectorant) drug. Its action is due to the activation of sialic transferase, an enzyme of the goblet cells of the bronchial mucosa. Normalizes the proportion of acidic and neutral sialomucins of bronchial secretions, restores the viscosity and elasticity of mucus. Bronchobos promotes the regeneration of the mucous membrane, normalizes its structure, activates the activity of the ciliary epithelium. Restores the secretion of immunologically active IgA (specific protection) and the number of sulfhydryl groups of mucus components (non-specific protection), improves mucociliary clearance.

Indications and usage

- acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases accompanied by impaired formation and removal of mucus;
- inflammatory diseases of the middle ear;
- inflammatory diseases of the paranasal sinuses;
- preparation of the patient for bronchoscopy or bronchography.

Contraindications

- hypersensitivity to the drug;
- peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase;
- acute glomerulonephritis;
- acute cystitis;
- children's age up to 15 years (capsules);
- children's age up to 2 years (syrup);
- pregnancy;
- lactation (breastfeeding).

Dosage and administration

For oral administration.
Adults take 2 capsules. 3 times a day.
After achieving the effect, the daily dose is reduced to 1.5 g (2 capsules. 2 times a day).

Treatment should not last more than 8-10 days without consulting a doctor.

Adverse reactions

On the part of the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, epigastric pain.
Allergic reactions: in isolated cases - itching, urticaria, rash.
In patients with bronchial asthma and in elderly patients, the appearance of airway obstruction is possible.Rarely a headache.

In patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease, the dose of Bronchobos must be reduced.
