Active ingredient and dosage form
Lasolvan pills:
Table 1 contains Ambroxol hydrochloride 30 mg;
Excipients: lactose, dried corn starch, colloidal silicon, Magnesium stearate;
10 pieces. in a blister, in a box of 2 or 5 blisters.
Mechanism of action
Lasolvan has a secretory motor, secretolytic, expectorant effect. Stimulates the serous cells of the glands of the mucous membrane of the bronchi, increases the content of mucous secretions and the release of surfactants (surfactant) in the alveoli and bronchi; normalizes the disturbed ratio of serous and mucous components of sputum. Activating hydrolytic enzymes and enhancing the release of lysosomes from Clara cells, reduces the viscosity of sputum. Increases the motor activity of cilia of the ciliated epithelium, increases mucociliary transport of sputum.
Indications and usage
Acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by the formation of a viscous secretion:
- acute and chronic bronchitis;
- bronchiectasis;
- bronchial asthma;
- bronchiolitis;
- cystic fibrosis;
- rhinitis, sinusitis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, pregnancy (I term).
With care - II – III trimester of pregnancy, lactation, renal and / or liver failure.
Dosage and administration
Adults and children from 12 years: nabout 1 pill 3 times a day. If necessary, increase the effect - take 2 pills 2 times a day.
Syrup 30mg / 5ml: 5 ml (1 tsp) 3 times a day.
Solution for oral administration and inhalation: at the beginning of treatment, 4 ml 3 times a day.
Syrup 15 mg / 5 ml: Up to 2 years: 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp.) 2 times a day.
From 2 to 6 years: 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) 3 times a day.
From 6 to 12 years: 5 ml (1 teaspoon) 2-3 times a day.
Oral solution: Dabout 2 years: 1 ml (25 drops) 2 times a day.
From 2 to 6 years: 1 ml (25 drops) 3 times a day.
From 6 to 12 years: 2 ml (50 drops) 2-3 times a day.
For inhalation: Up to 6 years: 1-2 inhalations of 2 ml daily.
Adults and children over 6 years old: 1-2 inhalations of 2-3 ml of solution daily.
Adverse reactions
Allergic reactions: skin rash, urticaria, angioedema, in some cases - allergic contact dermatitis.
Cases of acute severe reactions of the anaphylactic type (anaphylactic shock) have been extremely rarely reported.
With prolonged use in high doses - heartburn, gastralgia, nausea, vomiting.
Drug Interactions
Compatible with drugs that inhibit generic activity.
Combined use: with antitussive drugs leads to difficulty in sputum discharge on the background of cough reduction.
Increases bronchial secretions in Amoxicillin, cefuroxime, Erythromycin and Doxycycline.
Special notes
It should not be combined with antitussive agents that impede the excretion of sputum.
The solution for oral administration and inhalation contains benzalkonium chloride.
In patients with hyperactivity of the respiratory tract, this preservative can cause bronchospasm during inhalation.
