Composition

Syrup:
100 ml of syrup contains thyme extract liquid 4.1666 g, thyme extract liquid 4.1666 g, plantain extract liquid 4.1666 g,
Excipients: purified honey, sodium benzoate, propyl paraben, sucrose, purified water;

Mechanism of action

Stoptussin-Phyto is a phytopreparation with expectorant and anti-inflammatory action. Affects the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, reduces the viscosity of sputum.

Indications and usage

In the complex treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by cough with sputum difficult to separate: tracheitis; bronchitis; tracheobronchitis in adults and children aged 1 year.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug; cardiac decompensation; liver and kidney disease; congenital fructose intolerance; impaired glucose uptake and galactose; lack of an enzyme that breaks down sucrose and isomaltose; pregnancy; lactation period; children's age up to 1 year.

WITH caution (due to the presence of ethanol in the drug) should be used in patients with alcoholism, epilepsy, diseases and injuries of the brain.

Dosage and administration

Stoptussin-phyto is taken orally after eating.

Children aged 1 to 5 years old - 1 / 2-1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day, from 5 to 10 years old - 1-2 teaspoons 3 times a day, from 10 to 15 years old - 2 times -3 teaspoons 3 times a day.
Adults and children over 15 years old - 1 tablespoon 3-5 times a day

The average course of treatment is 7 days. Increasing the duration of treatment and repeated courses are possible on the recommendation of a doctor.

Drug Interactions

Stoptussin-Phyto should not be used simultaneously with drugs containing codeine and other antitussive drugs, since this makes it difficult to cough up diluted sputum.
