Mechanism of action

The drug of plant origin, improves cerebral and peripheral circulation. Biologically active substances of the extract of Ginkgo Biloba (flavone glycosides, terpene lactones) help to reduce the permeability of the vascular wall, prevent platelet aggregation. As a result, microcirculation and the supply of oxygen and glucose to the brain and peripheral tissues are improved.

The pharmacokinetic parameters of the extract of ginkgo biloba are difficult to assess because of the multi-component composition of the extract.

Indications and usage

- disorders of cerebral circulation in elderly people, accompanied by impaired attention and / or memory, impaired intellectual abilities, anxiety, fear, dizziness, tinnitus, sleep disorders;
- circulatory disorders of the lower extremities.

Bilobil: designate 1 caps. drug 3 times / day after meals. Bilobil Forte: designate 1 caps. drug 2 times / day after meals. The duration of treatment should be at least 3 months. If necessary, it is possible to conduct a second course of treatment on the recommendation of a doctor. Capsules should be swallowed with a small amount of water.

Adverse reactions

Seldom: allergic reactions, dyspepsia, headache, skin rash, decreased blood clotting.

Contraindications

- reduced blood clotting;
- erosive gastritis;
- peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute stage;
- hypersensitivity to the drug.
The drug is not prescribed to children and adolescents under the age of 18 years.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Bilobil is not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).
