Composition

Sermion - tablets, film coated:

1 tab. contains nicergolin 5, 10, and 30 mg; 50 pieces per pack.

Sermion - lyophilisate for preparation of solution for injections:

1 fl. contains nitsergolin 4 mg; complete with solvent in 4 ml ampoules; in a pack of cardboard 4 sets.

Mechanism of action

Sermion has an alpha-adrenolytic, vasodilating effect. Expands blood vessels, reduces vascular resistance, increases arterial blood flow, improves cerebral circulation and the consumption of oxygen and glucose by brain tissues. Sermion increases blood flow in the extremities, reduces the resistance of pulmonary vessels, inhibits platelet aggregation and improves hemorheological parameters.

Indications and usage

Acute, chronic vascular or metabolic cerebral insufficiency (atherosclerosis, thrombosis or embolism of cerebral vessels, transient cerebral ischemia); acute or chronic peripheral vascular insufficiency (obliterating vascular diseases of the extremities, Raynaud's syndrome); headache, migraine, arterial hypertension (as an additional means), hypertensive crisis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Nicergoline, acute bleeding, acute myocardial infarction, orthostatic hypotension.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Not recommended.

Adverse reactions

Hypotension, dizziness (after parenteral administration), rarely - dyspeptic phenomena (mild), feeling of heat, flushing of the face, sleep disturbances (drowsiness or insomnia - rarely).

Dosage and administration

Sermion take inside. In the intervals between meals - 5-10 mg 3 times a day at regular intervals.

Dosage, route of administration, duration of treatment are individual and depend on the severity of the disease. In some cases, it is advisable to start treatment with parenteral administration of the drug with the subsequent transition to oral administration during maintenance therapy.
