Active ingredient and dosage form
:
Ointment 10% --------------- 100 g
Indomethacin ----------- 10 g
Auxiliary substances: Dimexid; polyethylene oxide 400; polyethylene oxide 1500; nipagin; triethanolamine; water
In aluminum tubes or cans of 30 and 40 g; in a pack of cardboard 1 tube or bank.
Mechanism of action
:
NSAIDs, indole acetic acid derivative. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects.
The mechanism of action is associated with inhibition of the COX enzyme, which leads to inhibition of the synthesis of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid.
Suppresses platelet aggregation.
When applied topically, it eliminates pain, reduces swelling and erythema.
When used externally, in addition, helps to reduce morning stiffness, increase range of motion.

For external use: articular syndrome (including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout), pain in the spine, neuralgia, myalgia, traumatic inflammation of the soft tissues and joints.

When applied topically: itching, redness, rash at the site of application.
Contraindications
:
Hypersensitivity to indomethacin,
Use during pregnancy and lactation:
Indomethacin is contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy. In the I and II trimesters of pregnancy, as well as during lactation (breastfeeding) use is not recommended.
Indomethacin in small quantities excreted in breast milk.
and doses:
Ointment - externally, rub a thin layer into the painful areas of the body 2-3 times a day. For adults, the total amount of ointment squeezed out of a tube per day should not exceed 15 cm, for children over 14 years old - 7.5 cm.
Special instructions:
Ointment should be applied only to intact skin, avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes.
Interaction with other drugs:
Clinically significant interaction with other drugs is unlikely due to low systemic absorption.
