Composition

pills - white flat round, uncovered with a shell, with cut edges and a dividing groove.
1 pill contains: metamizol 500 mg, fenpiverinium bromide 0.1 mg, pitofenone hydrochloride 5 mg;
atAuxiliary substances: starch, lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, Magnesium stearate, talc;
20 or 100 pills per pack.

Mechanism of action

Revalgin - A combined preparation from the group of analgesic and antispasmodic drugs.
The preparation includes: non-narcotic analgesic metamizole sodium (analgin)myotropic antispasmodic Pitofenone hydrochloride and anticholinergic fenpiverinium bromide.
Metamizole is a derivative of pyrazolone. It has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects. Pitofenon, like papaverine, has a direct myotropic effect on the smooth muscles of the internal organs and causes its relaxation.
Fenpiverine due to holinoblokiruyuschee action has an additional relaxing effect on smooth muscles.
The combination of the three components of the drug leads to mutual enhancement of their pharmacological action, manifested in the relief of pain, relaxation of smooth muscles, a decrease in elevated body temperature.

Indications and usage

Mild or moderate pain in spasms of smooth muscles of internal organs - renal and biliary colic, intestinal spasms, dysmenorrhea and other spastic states of internal organs. May be used for short-term symptomatic treatment for joint pain, neuralgia, sciatica, myalgia. As an adjuvant, it can be used to reduce pain after surgical and diagnostic interventions. If necessary, the drug can be used to reduce elevated body temperature in colds and infectious inflammatory diseases.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to pyrazolone derivatives and other components of the drug; severe impaired liver or kidney function; the genetic absence of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase; tachyarrhythmia; angle-closure glaucoma; prostatic hypertrophy with a tendency to retain urine; gastrointestinal obstruction; megacolon; diseases of the blood system; collaptoid states; first trimester and last 6 weeks of pregnancy; lactation period. pills do not apply to children under 5 years of age.

Dosage and administration

Adults and adolescents over 15 years old are prescribed by mouth (preferably after meals), 1-2 pills 2-3 times a day. The daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets. Reception duration no more than 5 days.
Increasing the daily dose of the drug or the duration of treatment is possible only under medical supervision.

In children, the drug is used only on prescription.
for children 6-8 years - 1/2 tablet;
for children 9-12 years - 3/4 pills;
for children 13-15 years old - 1 tablet;
The multiplicity of appointments - 2-3 times a day. Other dosage regimens are possible only after consulting a doctor.

Special notes

With caution and under the supervision of a physician, the drug should be used by patients with impaired liver and / or kidney function, with a tendency to hypotension, bronchospasm, and also with increased individual sensitivity to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or non-narcotic analgesics. With a long (more than a week) use of the drug, it is necessary to control the picture of peripheral blood and the functional state of the liver. Sometimes metabolites of metamizol may stain urine red.

Drug interactions

The simultaneous use of Revalgin with other non-narcotic analgesics can lead to mutual enhancement of toxic effects. Tricyclic antidepressants, oral contraceptives, Allopurinol violate the metabolism of metamizol in the liver and increase its toxicity. Barbiturates, phenylbutazone and other inducers of microsomal liver enzymes weaken the effect of metamizol. Simultaneous use with cyclosporine reduces the level of the latter in the blood.Sedatives and tranquilizers enhance the analgesic effect of Revalgin. If necessary, the simultaneous use of these and other drugs should consult with your doctor.

Adverse reactions

At therapeutic doses, the drug is usually well tolerated. Sometimes allergic reactions are possible (skin rash, itching, very rarely - anaphylactic shock). In rare cases - a burning sensation in the epigastric region, dry mouth, headache. Dizziness, lowering blood pressure, tachycardia, cyanosis are possible.
With long-term use - cases of violation of the blood system (thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, agranulocytosis). With a tendency to bronchospasm may provoke an attack.

Overdosage

Symptoms: vomiting, dry mouth sensation, change in sweating, disturbed accommodation, hypotension, drowsiness, confusion, impaired liver and kidney function, convulsions. Treatment - symptomatic.

Storage conditions

Store in a dry place at a temperature not higher than 25 ° C. Keep out of reach of children.
