Lingual tablets:

1 tab. contain Nimesulide 100 mg;
Excipients: mannitol; aspartame; sodium carboxymethyl starch; sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate; sodium propyl parahydroxybenzoate; potassium sorbate; croscarmellose sodium; colloidal silicon dioxide; Magnesium stearate; orange flavor; purified water;

Mechanism of action

Nimulid is a non-narcotic anti-inflammatory agent (NSAID) of the sulfonanilide class, a selective COX-2 inhibitor. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic effect.

Indications and usage

Symptoms of fever and inflammation associated with infections of the upper respiratory tract (viral or bacterial nature); for relief of pain of various origins in the postoperative period, in case of injuries of the musculoskeletal system, in case of injuries of soft tissues, etc.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to nimesulide and other components of Nimulid; Acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs; ulcerative diseases of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase; severe disorders of the liver and kidneys; pregnancy; breastfeeding period.

Dosage and administration

For adults Nimulid is prescribed in the form of tablets, lingual pills and suspensions for oral administration of 100 mg 2 times / day.
pills are taken internally with a sufficient amount of water at the end or after a meal.
The lingual pill should be put on the tongue, where it immediately begins to dissolve, then swallow the saliva in which the pill has dissolved.
The maximum daily dose is 200 mg.

Nimulid is prescribed in the form of a suspension for oral administration in a dose of 1.5 mg / kg of body weight 2-3 times / day. The maximum dose for children - 5 mg / kg / day, divided into 2-3 doses.

With the appointment of elderly patients dose adjustment is not required.

Adverse reactions
