Indications
For children from 3 months of age to 12 years as an antipyretic in infectious and inflammatory diseases and conditions accompanied by fever, including with:
- acute respiratory diseases;
- flu;
- childhood infections;
- post-vaccination reactions.
As an analgesic for pain of low or moderate intensity, incl. with:
- headache;
- toothache;
- migraine;
- neuralgia;
- pain in the ears and throat;
- pain during sprains and other types of pain.
Dosage and administration
Nurofen® for children - a drug designed specifically for children.
The drug is taken orally.
The dose depends on the body weight of the child.
At fever and pain syndrome the drug is prescribed at 5-10 mg / kg body weight 3-4 times / day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 30 mg / kg of body weight.

Do not exceed the specified dose.
At fever after immunization children under 1 year the drug is prescribed in a dose of 50 mg (2.5 ml); children over 1 year oldif necessary, after 6 h, the drug can be reappointed in the same dose.
Do not use more than 5 ml within 24 hours.
Duration of treatment: as an antipyretic drug should not be taken more than 3 days, as an anesthetic - no more than 5 days.
If the fever (elevated body temperature) persists, then you should consult your doctor.
Terms of use of the drug
Suspension before use should be thoroughly shaken.
For accurate dosing of the suspension, a measuring syringe is attached to the vial. 5 ml of the drug contains 100 mg of Ibuprofen.
1. Insert the syringe firmly into the neck of the bottle.
2. Shake the suspension well.
3. Turn the vial upside down and gently pull the plunger down, drawing the suspension into the syringe to the desired mark.
4. Return the vial to its original position and remove the syringe by gently turning it.
5. Place the syringe in the baby’s oral cavity and slowly press the plunger, gently releasing the suspension.
After use, rinse the syringe in warm water and dry it out of the reach of the child.
Adverse effects
Adverse reactions are rare, but the following side effects may occur.
Gastrointestinal: nausea, vomiting, discomfort or pain in the epigastrium, diarrhea, erosive and ulcerative lesions of the mucous membrane and bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract.
Allergic reactions: skin rash, pruritus, urticaria, exacerbation of bronchial asthma, angioedema, anaphylactoid reactions, anaphylactic shock, bronchospasm, fever, erythema multiforme exudative (including Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal nephrosis (an acute epidermal erythema), including toxic epidermal erythema, including toxic epidermal erythema

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen and other components of the drug;
- hypersensitivity to Acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs;
- bronchial asthma, urticaria, rhinitis, triggered by the intake of acetylsalicylic acid (salicylates) or other NSAIDs;
- erosive and ulcerative lesions of the digestive tract;
- active Gastrointestinal bleeding;
- inflammatory bowel disease;
- confirmed hypkeraliemia;
- blood diseases (hypocoagulation, leukopenia, hemophilia);
- renal and / or liver failure;
- hearing loss.
Carefully
Before using the drug Nurofen® for children, it is necessary to consult a doctor in the following cases:
- taking other analgesic drugs;

- liver or kidney disease:

Special notes
Nurofen® for children can be used in children with diabetes, because The product does not contain sugar. Does not contain dyes.

Overdosage
Symptoms: abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, tinnitus, metabolic acidosis, coma, acute renal failure, decreased blood pressure, bradycardia, tachycardia.
Treatment: gastric lavage (only within an hour after ingestion), ingestion of Activated carbon, alkaline drink, forced diuresis; symptomatic therapy.
Drug interaction
With simultaneous use of the drug Nurofen® for children and anticoagulants it is possible to enhance the effect of the latter.
When combined use Nurofen® for children increases the blood concentration of Digoxin, phenytoin, methotrexate, lithium.
With simultaneous use of the drug Nurofen® for children with diuretics and antihypertensive drugs, the effects of the latter can be reduced.
When combined use Nurofen® for children enhances the side effects of mineralocorticoids and glucocorticoids.
