Mechanism of action

Anabolic, antihypoxic, regenerating, antithyroid.

It is easily absorbed from the intestines, penetrates into all tissues, the greatest concentrations are created in the skeletal muscles and myocardium. C_max is reached after 3 hours and remains at the therapeutic level for up to 9 hours. Excreted by the kidneys unchanged (more than 80% for 24 hours).

Indications and usage

Congenital primary and secondary Carnitine deficiency; acquired secondary carnitine deficiency with total parenteral nutrition, chronic hemodialysis, valproic acid intake, intense physical exertion; prematurity, lag in growth and body mass, perinatal CNS pathology in newborns and premature infants; angina pectoris, acute myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock, post-infarction conditions, diseases of the peripheral arteries.

Secondary deficiency in hemodialysis: 2 g once (after the procedure); acute myocardial infarction: 100–200 mg / kg / day in 4 doses or continuous administration for the first 48 hours, followed by a 2-fold reduction in the dose; cardiogenic shock: in / in before the patient leaves the shock. Adverse reactions
