Dosage and administration

It is necessary to consult with the attending endocrinologist regarding the injection technique and the most suitable needle length. In order to inject the required dose of insulin using an insulin syringe pen, it is necessary:

- After installing a new cartridge and before injection check the stream of insulin passing through the needle.

- Install a new needle before each injection and remove it immediately after the injection. You can not carry a syringe with a needle, as the needle allows access to the cartridge.

- When performing an injection of insulin, insert a needle under the skin, following the recommendation of an endocrinologist.

- After inserting the needle under the skin, press the insulin injection button and maintain this position of the button for at least 5 to 10 seconds before removing the corner. If, after the injection, insulin continues to flow out of the needle, during the next injection, hold the needle under the skin for a longer period of time.
