Mechanism of action
Fastum gel - NSAIDs for external use.
Fastum gel exhibits local analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative action in symptomatic treatment of diseases of the joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles, skin, veins, lymph nodes and lymph nodes. In case of articular syndrome, it causes a reduction in pain in the joints at rest and during movement, a decrease in morning stiffness and swelling of the joints.
The mechanism of drug action is associated with inhibition of PG biosynthesis.
Indications and usage
Inflammation and painful sensations of various etiologies: rheumatism, osteoarthritis of different localization, osteochondrosis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout attack, rheumatoid arthritis and periarthritis; bursitis, tendonitis, tendosynovitis, synovitis; sciatica, myalgia, radiculitis; bruises, sprains, muscle strains; phlebitis, thrombophlebitis of superficial veins, lymphangitis.
Contraindications
Individual hypersensitivity to Ketoprofen, Acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs (includinghistory), gastrointestinal diseases in the acute phase, pronounced disorders of the kidneys and liver, blood disorders (leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, hemocoagulation disorders), pregnancy, breastfeeding, children under 15 years of age.
Dosage and administration
A small amount of Fastum gel (3-5 cm) is applied with a thin layer on the skin over the inflammation site and lightly rubbed 1-2 times a day. The duration of treatment without consulting a doctor should not exceed 14 days.
Adverse reactions
There may be allergic reactions from the skin (itching, urticaria) with prolonged use.
