Composition

1 g of gel contains: Heparin sodium salt 1000 IU.

Excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, carbomer 940, ethyl alcohol 96%, non-nerium oil, lavender oil, triethanolamine, purified water.

Mechanism of action

Lioton has a moderate anti-inflammatory and anti-edema effect, prevents the formation of blood clots (forms a complex with antithrombin III and interferes with the transfer of prothrombin to thrombin, inhibits the activity of thrombin, reduces platelet aggregation), reduces the activity of hyaluronidase, improves the fibrinolytic properties of the blood, hypolipidemic effect.

Indications and usage

- Thrombophlebitis of superficial veins.
- Localized infiltrates and swelling of soft tissues.
- Injuries to tendons and joints.
- Bruises of soft tissues and joints.
- Subcutaneous hematomas.

Contraindications

- Hypersensitivity to gel components.
- Ulcerative-necrotic changes in the skin at the sites of the intended application of the gel.
- Traumatic violation of the integrity of the skin.
- Reduced blood clotting.
- Thrombocytopenia.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

It is possible to use the drug during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) according to strict indications.

Dosage and administration

The gel is applied with a thin layer on the affected area at the rate of 3-5 cm of the gel on the skin area with a diameter of 3-5 cm and gently rub the ointment into the skin 1-3 times a day.

The duration of use on average from 3 to 7 days (until the disappearance of inflammatory events).

Special notes

Not recommended for bleeding, as well as on open wounds, mucous membranes and in the presence of local purulent processes.

Use with extreme caution with increased vascular permeability.

Drug Interactions

It is not recommended to mix with other means for external use. Not prescribed topically at the same time with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, tetracyclines, antihistamines.

Overdosage

Unlikely due to the low absorbability of the components of the gel.

Store at a temperature not higher than 25 ° С.
