Mechanism of action

Combined drug, whose action is due to the properties of the components included in its composition.
Magnesium ions reduce the excitability of neurons and slow down neuromuscular transmission, as well as participate in many enzymatic reactions. Magnesium deficiency in the body is manifested by muscle weakness, tremor, tetany, ataxia, increased reflex excitability, irritability, sleep disorders, heart rhythm disturbances, and diarrhea.
Pyridoxine as a coenzyme is involved in many metabolic processes.

Suction
After taking Magne B6 about 50% of magnesium is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.
Distribution
In the body, magnesium is distributed mainly in the intracellular space (about 99%).
Metabolism
Pyridoxine in the body through a series of reactions turns into a metabolically active form - pyridoxal phosphate.
Removal
After ingestion, approximately 1/3 of the dose of magnesium is excreted in the urine.

Indications and usage

Prevention of magnesium deficiency in the body and related disorders, including:
- sleep disorders;
- increased nervous irritability;
- physical and mental fatigue;
- pain and muscle spasms;
- asthenia.

Adverse reactions

Gastrointestinal: rarely - diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, constipation.
Other: possibly allergic reactions.

Contraindications

- severe renal failure (CC less than 30 ml / min);
- phenylketonuria;
- hypersensitivity to the drug.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Application Magne B6 during pregnancy is possible only under strict indications. Clinical experience with the drug during pregnancy did not reveal the fetotoxic effect of the drug or defects in fetal development.
Do not recommend the use of the drug during lactation (breastfeeding). Magnesium is excreted in breast milk.

Special notes

Precautions should be prescribed with moderate renal dysfunction due to the risk of hypermagneemia.
With a concomitant Calcium deficiency, magnesium deficiency in the body should be eliminated before starting to take calcium supplements.
With frequent use of laxatives, the use of alcohol, with intense physical and mental stress increases the need for magnesium and increases the risk of magnesium deficiency in the body.
When using the drug in patients with diabetes, it should be borne in mind that the pills contain sucrose.
With the combined use of Tetracycline and Magne B6 observe the 3-hour interval between doses of these drugs.

Overdosage

Currently, cases of overdose of the drug Magne B6 not reported.

Drug Interactions

With the simultaneous use of Magne B6 and drugs containing phosphates and calcium salts, may significantly decrease the absorption of magnesium from the gastrointestinal tract.
At the same time taking magnesium preparations reduce the absorption of tetracycline.
When combined, magnesium reduces the effect of oral thrombolytic agents, reduces the absorption of iron.
Pyridoxine, which is part of Magne B6, significantly reduces the anti-Parkinsonian effect of levodopa.

Storage conditions

The drug should be stored in a dry, dark place at room temperature.
