Vitrum® PRENATAL - vitamin-mineral complex, consisting of 10 Vitamins and 3 minerals. It is used in women during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Provides the mother and fetus with essential vitamins and minerals.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Determined by the properties of vitamins and minerals that make up the drug. The drug provides a deficit of vitamins and minerals in the body of a woman during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Indications

- prevention of hypovitaminosis, lack of minerals during pregnancy and during breastfeeding;

- prevention of iron deficiency anemia and Calcium deficiency in pregnant women.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug. It is not recommended to use with hypervitaminosis A and D, excessive accumulation of iron in the body, elevated levels of calcium in the blood, increased excretion of calcium in the urine and with urolithiasis.

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION AND DOSES

Before use, consult your doctor.

It is recommended for women during pregnancy and after childbirth to take orally one pill a day after breakfast with a glass of water.

Overdosage

Overdose symptoms: nausea, weakness, gastrointestinal upset.

Adverse Effects

Allergic reactions to the components of the drug. It is possible staining of urine in an intense yellow color, which is not dangerous, since it is caused by the presence of riboflavin in the composition of the drug.

INTERACTION WITH OTHER MEDICINES

The drug contains iron and calcium and therefore can delay the absorption in the intestines of antibiotics from the Tetracycline group, as well as antimicrobial agents - fluoroquinolone derivatives. Vitamin C enhances the action and side effects of antimicrobial agents from the sulfonamide group (including the appearance of crystals in the urine). Antacid preparations containing aluminum, Magnesium, calcium, as well as Kolestiramine, reduce the absorption of iron. With the simultaneous appointment of diuretics from the thiazide group, the probability of hypercalcemia increases.

Special notes

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

It is not recommended to use "Vitrum® Prenatal "together with preparations containing vitamins A and D. This increases the risk of an overdose of these vitamins.
