Mechanism of action
Kutivate has anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antipruritic effect. It has glucocorticoid activity.
Indications and usage
Eczema (atopic, discoid, in children); knobby pruritus; psoriasis (excluding common plaque); neurodermatosis (including simple lichen, red flat lichen, seborrheic dermatitis); discoid lupus erythematosus; red prickly heat; generalized erythroderma (as an additional means to systemic therapy); insect bites, allergic contact reactions, itching.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, pink and ordinary acne, perioral dermatitis, primary viral, fungal and bacterial infections of the skin, itching of the anogenital area.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Use of Kutivate is possible if the expected effect of therapy outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.
Dosage and administration
Kutivate is applied topically.
Treatment of acute and chronic dermatosis. Cream Kutivate is applied with a thin layer to the affected skin 1-2 times a day. The course of treatment - 2 weeks.
Reducing the risk of recurrence of the disease.After reaching a therapeutic effect in the acute phase of the disease, the frequency of using an ointment or cream is reduced: it is recommended to apply the drug once 2 times a week without applying an occlusive dressing. Kutivate is applied to all previously affected skin areas or areas where a relapse of the disease can be expected.
Adverse reactions
Allergic contact dermatitis, local allergic reactions: burning and itching (require discontinuation of the drug), secondary infections. With long-term use of Kutivate in high doses, local atrophic changes in the skin (thinning, striae, dilation of the superficial vessels, hypertrichosis, hypopigmentation), systemic absorption with signs of hypercorticism, suppression of the function of the adrenal cortex, relapses, tolerance.
