Composition

Active substance: cromoglyceic acid disodium salt.

Other components: benzalkonium chloride, EDTA, sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate, sorbitol, water for injection.

Mechanism of action

Kromoheksal eye drops - antiallergic, anti-inflammatory drug.

Mast cell membrane stabilizer. It blocks the entry of ions into the fat cell, preventing its degranulation and the release of mediators of allergy and inflammation (histamine, bradykinin, prostaglandins, leukotrienes and other biologically active substances). Warns the manifestation of allergic reactions of immediate type.

Indications and usage

Prevention and treatment of acute and chronic allergic keratoconjunctivitis (pollinosis, spring keratoconjunctivitis).

Dosage and administration

In the absence of other appointments, adults and children are recommended to bury 4 drops a day, 1 drop in each eye.

KromOGEKSAL should be instilled in the conjunctival sac. The head is thrown back slightly, the lower eyelid is pulled back, they look up and bury the drops without touching the eye.After use, the bottle is immediately closed.

Even with the disappearance of complaints, Kromogeksal should use the time while there is contact with allergenic factors (house dust, fungal spores, pollen). The need for long-term therapy is determined by the doctor.

Adverse reactions

Occasionally, a sensation of heat in the eyes, swelling of the conjunctiva (chemosis), a sensation of a foreign body, an increased blood supply to the conjunctiva (conjunctival hyperemia), as well as short-term impaired visual clarity. All side effects usually spontaneously disappear.

Storage conditions

Store the drug at a temperature not higher than 25o C!
