Active ingredient and dosage form
Drops for oral administration:
100 g contain hydroalcoholic extract 29 g of the following types of medicinal plant materials: Althea roots (Althaeae officinalis L., Malvaceae) 0.4 g, Chamomile flowers (Chamomilla recutita, Asteraceae) 0.3 g, Horsetail grass (Equisetum arvense L., Equisetaceae) 0.5 g, walnut leaves (Juglans regia L., Juglandeae) 0.4 g, yarrow grass (Achillea millefolium L., Asteraceae) 0.4 g, oak bark (Quercus robur, Fagaceae) 0, 2 g dandelion medicinal herb (Taraxacum officinale, Asteraceae) 0.4 g;
Excipients: ethanol 16.0-19.5 vol.%, purified water;
in dropper bottles of dark glass (with a dosing device) in 100 ml.
Mechanism of action
Tonsilgon N - Phytopreparation with anti-inflammatory and immunostimulating action
Combined preparation of plant origin. Pharmacological properties due to biologically active substances that are part of the drug.
It has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects. The active ingredients in the composition of the drug chamomile, althea and horsetail help to increase the activity of non-specific factors of body defense. Polysaccharides, essential oils and flavonoids of chamomile, althea, yarrow and oak tannins have an anti-inflammatory effect and reduce swelling of the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract.
Indications and usage
Acute and chronic diseases of the upper respiratory tract (tonsillitis, pharyngitis,laryngitis); prevention of complications of respiratory viral infections; as an adjunct to antibiotic treatment for bacterial infections of the upper respiratory tract.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug components (in particular, to the plants of the Compositae family).
Children's age up to 6 years (for dragee).
Alcoholism; condition after successful anti-alcohol treatment (for drops).
Carefully: abnormal liver function (after consulting a doctor).
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Dosage and administration
Inside Drops swallow whole, without chewing, squeezed with a small amount of liquid. Drops are taken undiluted, while holding the mouth for some time before swallowing.
In acute diseases: adults - 2 pills (25 drops) 5–6 times a day; infants - 5 drops 5–6 times a day; pre-school children - 10 drops 5–6 times a day; children of school age - 15 drops (1 tablet) 5–6 times a day.
After the disappearance of acute manifestations of the disease should continue treatment with Tonsilgon N for another 1 week. Frequency of administration is reduced to 3 times per day (with a single dose remains the same).

The combination of Tonsilgon H with antibacterial agents is possible and appropriate.
When using drops for ingestion, the bottle should be kept upright.
