Active ingredient and dosage form

Yoks Spray:

30 ml of spray contains polyvidone-iodine 2,550 g, allantoin 0,030 g, propylene glycol 9 g; in a bottle with a spray complete with an applicator 30 ml;

Yoks - solution for external use:

100 ml of solution contains 8.5 g polyvidone-iodine, allantoin 0.1 g, propylene glycol 30 g; in a bottle of 50 or 100 ml.

Mechanism of action

Antiseptic, anti-inflammatory. Yox releases Iodine on contact with skin or mucous membranes, causing an antiseptic effect.

Indications and usage

Angina (catarrhal, follicular, lacunar; caused by streptococci, with simultaneous treatment with antibiotics); tonsillitis (acute and chronic); inflammation of the larynx, tongue, aphtha; first symptoms of flu.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity (including iodine), hyperthyroidism, heart failure, children's age (up to 6 years).

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions; rarely - burning sensation at the site of application.

Dosage and administration

Outwardly (for local use). Jocks aerosol: inject into the oral cavity while holding the breath 1 time into the right and 1 time into the left side 2-4 times a day (if necessary every 4 hours). The applicator before and after applying washed with hot water.

Before use, the Jocks solution is diluted with water at a ratio of 1:20 - 1:40 (ie 2.5-5 ml or 1 / 2-1 tsp in 100 ml of water) and rinse the mouth or throat 2-4 times per day.

Special notes

Jocks is not intended for ingestion (must not be inhaled or ingested). In children, aerosol is used if they are able to hold their breath when injected. If there is no effect for 3 days, you should consult with your doctor. The simultaneous use of other means for local use in the oral cavity (hydrogen peroxide, antiseptics) is not recommended. It should be borne in mind that the drug contains 19% alcohol.
