Indications

- prevention and treatment in adults and children from the age of 12: influenza A and B, other acute respiratory viral infections (including those complicated by bronchitis, pneumonia), severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS);

- complex therapy of acute intestinal infections of rotavirus etiology in children over 12 years old;

- complex therapy of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia and recurrent herpetic infection;

- prevention of postoperative infectious complications.

Dosage and administration

Inside, before eating. Single dose adults and children over 12 years old - 200 mg (1 capsule).

For non-specific prevention and treatment of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections:

Nonspecific prevention of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections:

- for non-specific prophylaxis during the epidemic of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections: 200 mg (1 capsule) 2 times a week for 3 weeks.

- in direct contact with patients with influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections: 200 mg (1 capsule) once a day for 10-14 days.

Treatment of flu and other acute respiratory viral infections:

- with uncomplicated course: 200 mg (I capsule) 4 times a day (every 6 hours) for 5 days.

- with the development of complications (bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.): 200 mg (1 capsule) 4 times a day (every 6 hours) for 5 days, then a single dose 1 time per week for 4 weeks.

Combined therapy of acute intestinal infections of rotavirus etiology in children over 12 years old:

200 mg (1 capsule) 4 times a day (every 6 hours) for 5 days.

For nonspecific prevention and treatment of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS):

For non-specific prevention of SARS (in contact with patients):

200 mg (1 capsule) once daily for 12-14 days.

For the treatment of SARS:

200 mg (I capsule) 2 times a day for 8-10 days.

In the complex therapy of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia and herpes infection:

200 mg (1 capsule) 4 times a day (every 6 hours) for 5-7 days, then a single dose 2 times per pedal and for 4 weeks.

Prevention of postoperative complications:

200 mg (1 capsule) 2 days before surgery, then 2 and 5 days after surgery.

Side effect

Contraindications

- hypersensitivity to the drug;

- age up to 12 years.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The use of the drug Arbidol ® Maximum during pregnancy is contraindicated.

It is not known whether the active substance penetrates the drug Arbidol.® Maximum or its metabolites in breast milk in women during lactation. If necessary, use of the drug Arbidol®Maximum should stop breastfeeding.

Use in children

Contraindicated in children under 12 years.

Influence on ability to drive motor transport and control mechanisms

It does not show central neurotropic activity and can be used in medical practice in persons of various professions, and so on. requiring increased attention and coordination of movement (drivers of transport, operators, etc.).
