Mechanism of action

Amixin - antiviral and immunomodulatory drugs. Amixin stimulates the formation in the body of Interferon alpha, beta, gamma. The main structures producing interferon in response to the administration of Amixin are intestinal epithelial cells, hepatocytes, T-lymphocytes, neutrophils. After taking the drug inside the maximum of interferon production is determined in the sequence of the intestine-liver-blood after 4-24 hours. Amixin has an immunomodulatory and antiviral effect.
Stimulates bone marrow stem cells, enhances antibody production, depending on the dose, reduces the degree of immunosuppression, restores the ratio of T-suppressors and T-helpers. Effective against various viral infections (including those caused by influenza viruses, other causative agents of acute respiratory viral infections, hepatitis viruses, herpes). The mechanism of antiviral action is associated with the inhibition of translation of virus-specific proteins in infected cells, as a result of which reproduction of viruses is inhibited.

Indications and usage

In adults:
For the treatment of viral hepatitis A, B and C.
For the treatment of herpes infection.
For the treatment of cytomegalovirus infection.
In the complex treatment of allergic and viral encephalomyelitis (including multiple sclerosis, leukoencephalitis, uveoencephalitis).
In the complex therapy of urogenital and respiratory chlamydia.
In the complex treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis.
For the prevention and treatment of influenza and SARS.
In children over 7 years old:

Dosage and administration

For the treatment of acute hepatitis B, the first two days take 125 mg, then 125 mg after 48 hours, for a course of treatment - 2 g (16 tablets). With a protracted course of hepatitis B, 125 mg twice a day on the first day, then 125 mg every 48 hours. In the course of treatment - 2.5 g (20 tablets). In chronic hepatitis B - the initial phase of treatment (2.5 g - 20 tablets) - the first two days, 125 mg 2 times a day, then 125 mg after 48 hours. The continuation phase (from 1.25 g - 10 pills to 2.5 g - 20 tablets) - 125 mg per week. The course dose of Amixin is from 3.75 g to 5 g, the duration of therapy is 3.5–6 months, depending on the results of biochemical, immunological, morphological studies reflecting the degree of activity of the process. In acute hepatitis C, 125 mg daily for the first 2 days of treatment, then 125 mg after 48 hours. The course of treatment is 2.5 g (20 tablets). Heading dose - 180 mg (3 tablets). If you have complications of influenza or others and ARVI, 60 mg once a day on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th day from the start of treatment.
