Drops for oral administration:
100 g of drops contain ethyl bromizovalerianat 2 g, phenobarbital 2 g, hop oil 0.02 g, mint oil 0.14 g, ethyl alcohol 55 vol.%;

Pharmacology

Valocordin®- combined drug, the therapeutic effect of which is due to the pharmacological properties of the components included in its composition.
Phenobarbital has a sedative and vasodilating effect, and also has a mild hypnotic effect. It helps to reduce the excitation of the central nervous system and facilitates the onset of natural sleep.
Ethylbromosovalerate has a sedative, hypnotic and antispasmodic effect.
Peppermint Oil has a reflex vasodilator and antispasmodic activity Antispasmodic, vasodilator, sedative, hypnotic.

Indications and usage

Functional disorders of the cardiovascular system (including cardialgia, sinus tachycardia), neurosis, accompanied by irritability, anxiety, fear; insomnia (difficulty falling asleep); states of arousal, accompanied by pronounced vegetative reactions.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug; severe impaired renal and / or liver function, lactation period. With caution: pregnancy.

Dosage and administration

Inside, before meals, with a small amount of liquid.
Adults are usually prescribed 15-20 drops 3 times a day.
In case of disturbed sleep, the dose can be increased to 30 drops.
Children are prescribed at the rate of 1 drop per year of life of the child and depending on the clinical picture of the disease.
The duration of the drug is determined individually by a doctor.

Adverse reactions

Valocordin®It is generally well tolerated even with prolonged use. In some cases, drowsiness and slight dizziness may occur during the daytime.
With prolonged use of large doses may develop chronic bromine poisoning, manifestations of which are: depressive mood, apathy, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, hemorrhagic diathesis, impaired coordination of movements.

Overdosage

Symptoms: with mild to moderate intoxication, drowsiness, dizziness, psychomotor disturbances are observed.
In severe cases, coma, lowering blood pressure, respiratory failure, tachycardia, vascular collapse, reduced peripheral reflexes.
Treatment: gastric lavage, the appointment of Activated carbon and an urgent call a doctor.

Drug interactions

With the simultaneous use of Valocordin® with sedatives - increased effect. Simultaneous use with neuroleptics and tranquilizers strengthens, and with CNS stimulants - weakens the effect of each of the components of the drug. Alcohol enhances Valocordine effects.® and may increase its toxicity. The presence of Valocordin® Phenobarbital can induce liver enzymes, and this makes it undesirable to use it simultaneously with drugs that are metabolized in the liver, since their concentration and, accordingly, their effectiveness will decrease as a result of more rapid metabolism (indirect anticoagulants, antibiotics, sulfonamides, etc.). Phenobarbital weakens the effect of coumarin derivatives, GCS, Griseofulvin, oral contraceptives.

Special notes

It should be borne in mind that the product contains 55% by volume of ethanol.
